The Boy King and Nanny-sippi

Nanny-sippi came to visit over the Thanksgiving holiday, and I just realized I never posted pictures due to the excitement over the duel going on between Tate and Bill Murray. (I am proud to report that Tate has overcome his fears and made up with Bill. They have been seen walking around the house together).

While Nanny-sippi was here, we went to see the King Tut exhibition at the Dallas Museum of Art. The Boy King was no match for our own boy king:

She also brought Tate a singing penguin that now goes everywhere with us. (This is the only picture I got of Tate on Thanksgiving Day. I just wanted to post it so people would believe me that I did NOT dress Tate like a Turkey...we went for the New-York-artsy-fartsy look instead...)

And they enjoyed a little game of catch over breakfast:

Tate enjoyed spending time with his grandmother from Mississippi!

Love the King Tut hat. Classic. But, that said...keep in mind that after seeing all that you did to him as a kid, he will need therapy. I'm just saying...

Sarah -- um, no. I don't cook. I bought a pre-cooked turkey (which made my MIL gasp and shake her head..."PRE-cooked turkey?!?") and then my MIL did the rest.

KJ -- Yes, I am saving up for the therapy bills. I like to think we're giving the kid a sense of humor? Maybe? And for the record, I did NOT opt to buy the king tut hat...just tried it on in the gift shop for photo-purposes. I just couldn't drop $18 for a gold foil headband. But it would have been perfect on him sitting next to that sign, woudln't it??? It looks like the sign is pointing at Tate, like he's King Tut...King Tate....hmmmm...maybe this calls for another trip to the DMA....or maybe I'm the one who needs therapy....

I love that you purchased a pre-cooked turkey!! That's actually what my MiL did...so she would have understood. :c)
I like that you entertain yourself with amusing antics/decorations for your son. He's going to be one funny kid.
