October is here and that means MORE HALLOWEEN OUTFITS!!!

For those who knew Tate when he was just a baby, you know that he was exactly one week old on Halloween last year and yet he still had four different Halloween outfits that we had to rotate through in one day. Well, I won't let that happen again. No kid should have to wear four different Halloween outfits in one day. That's right. So this year, I have SIX Halloween outfits for him and this year he will wear them ALL MONTH instead of just on Halloween. I swore I would only do the ridiculous outfits until he was 1 year old, so I only have three weeks left to cram them all in, people!

And so we begin...

Here is the little pumpkin visiting Aunt Nancy and her second grade class. They are listening to Mama Mia read a Halloween story. Aunt Nancy may seem nice, but I'm warning you, she's a tyrant in the classroom! She had us sitting up straight in our chairs for sure. She's probably going to give a pink slip to the sweet little girl smiling in this picture because she's not paying attention to the story being read. Mean Ms. Bingham.

She even put Tate at a desk and told him he couldn't leave the class until he read the book. Silly Ms. Bingham. This is Tate we're talking about. He's almost a year old. Of course he can read already. Sheesh.

Then we went to my high school friend Sarah's house for dinner. Tate has on Halloween spider "baby legs" which are NOT "tights" or "leggings" as was debated Saturday night. They are "knit coverings to protect the legs." Sidebar: I sewed the "eek" into his onesie about 15 minutes before we left the house. Props to Mama Mia for the suggestion. (don't worry, Tate was not wearing the onesie when I sewed it in. I'm just saying that preemptively since I know someone would make a comment about that if I didn't.)

These are the kids of my high school friends...aren't they all so cute? We realized Saturday night that all of our kids are blonde and none of the Moms is blonde (naturally). Just an interesting little factoid.

Happy October!

Are you SURE those are leggings? I think they might be leggings. Just sayin...

I think the baby legs are precious! Those kids better not say a thing about them, in that picture Tate looks like he almost their size!
And yes, the first thing I thought when I saw the picture in the classroom is "that little stinker Suzy!" Maybe I am mean...
And for all those people that notice when J's bed isn't made, don't say a thing about my desk.

I double-dog dare Mama Mia to print a the picture of Tate's mom when she was a pumpkin on Halloween. And by the way, Mama Mia is the GREATEST story reader ever!

Now, I'm feeling behind on my "Octoberness". Oh, the pressure. Great.

P.S. Love the tights.

I love babylegs! Britton has a couple of pairs and he is so adorable in them. Gets comments all the time. I love the Halloween outfits on Tate!

I CANNOT BELIEVE NO ONE IS GIVING JENNY PROPS FOR SEWING "EEK" ON THE ONESIE!!! Way to go, Jenny!! With EEK on the onesie, it tied in beautifully with the tights. Will Momma Mia come read books at my schools? Is she for hire?

Emily!! I was just leaving a comment on your blog when I saw you left a comment here...everyone has to go watch the latest video on Emily's blog (http://thegiffens.blogspot.com/2008/10/britton-uncle-jon.html -- scroll to the bottom for the video). Little Britton is NOT a fan of Elvis and Ole Miss. And he was my favorite little 8 month old until now....

So funny.

OK, Mama Mia needs to come read to MY class too!!! Are 5th graders too old to be read to? Because I was thinking of reading them a book sometime...age appropriate and everything...anyway...don't mess with the babylegs...we have Christmas ones that Graelyn will be wearing for sure...Gwen wore Graelyn's old polka dot ones today to dance class, like our old school leg warmers...she was super cute...I LOVE the babylegs and LOVE LOVE LOVE the eek! I sewed Graelyn's name and a flower on her onesie when she was little..just makes it look totally boutique if you ask me!!!

HOLY CRAP...I forgot to mention this...NAN has a TON of books apparently organized according to genre in her room. NAN, if you ever leave the classroom and say...become an administrator...let me just tell you...your kid will LOVE it when it's Fall and you pull out your Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving tubs. I'm just saying. And you'll think to yourself, "Sure glad I spent 100s of dollars on all these books back before I had kids!" I'm just sayin'...you might think that.

Also needed to mention...what the hell kind of friend do you have Jenny that has KIDS and a white couch?!?!? Come on. That would drive me insane.

Let's see the air freshner pic again from last year. This year he can be a whole can of Febreeze or a Glade Plug in! Poor little Tater. I'm calling the authorities . . . BIG GUY!!!!!

Sarah -- it's my other friend named Sarah. She's Super Mom. She has three adorable, really good kids and a really cool (and CLEAN...at least before we invaded on Saturday) house in the Ridglea area of Fort Worth. She has not one but TWO white couches. Oh, and she's thin and cute.

Yeah. Go ahead. You can hate her.

:-)

And Special K -- don't worry -- the air freshener picture shall appear again by the end of this month!
